How to show live Clock in Excel Sheet

In this article, I am going to tell you that how you can show the current time in excel sheet.

Click on the cell where you want to display the current time and write a function as =Now ().

This function will return time and date. We need only time, so we have to change the format.

Click on the cell, where you have entered the function and Press CTRL+1. This will open a window. Under this window, Click on Custom under the Category Tab.

From given Type, you can select your required Format, as you want to show only time then select time format only.
5.       Now Right Click on Sheet Tab and click on View Code.

6.       Now go to insert tab in Visual Basic then click on the module.

Now write this code.

Sub Macro1 ()
Calculate
Application. On Time Now + Time Value (“00:00:01”), “Macro 1”
End Sub
Sub Start ()
Macro 1
End Sub

Now come to previous excel window and click on View Tab.

In View Tab, Select Macro and Click on View Macro. Now you can see the Macro 1. Click on run and your live time will be start.

After this you can get current time.

 

How to make Excel Cells Password Protected

In working scenario, sometimes we need to make password protected file. In this article I am going to discuss how we can make excel file as password protected. Article categorized into two parts.
1. Protection of Complete file
2. Protection of some selected cells

Protection of Complete File
This is very easy task to make complete excel sheet as password protected. For this
Select your sheet (all column and rows of sheet)

After selection of complete sheet, click on Format Tab (You can also click right hand side) . When you click on Format Tab a window will be appear, now that window select protect sheet.

A Pop-window will appear, now this is time to set your password for unprotect the sheet. Uncheck the both Select locked cell and select unlocked cell. Just provide your desired password and press Ok.

Re-enter the password again and press OK. Now your sheet is password protected.

How to do Mail Merge

One day I was working in office, one of my colleague come to me and say, Sir I have to do mail merge. I gone in thinking mode and ask, firstly tell me what is Mail Merge and what do you want to do with Mail Merge. Then I research with my colleague and that is here for you also.

Sometime, we want to send a letter to large number of people. This is very difficult work to write address of each person to each letter. It’s also hectic and also take time. To avoid this, we can use mail merge techniques.

Let me discuss problem firstly, I have to send a letter to 1000 people. I have to write Person name and address at each letter. It is very difficult to write name and address to each letter. To avoid this, Mail Merge techniques firstly comes in mind. 

Suppose we have two file. One is Excel file which contains all the information related to Recipients and other is Microsoft word file which is basically that letter which have to send all recipients. For this I have created two file.

1. Letter and 2. Recipients Details

From recipient’s details, we have to fetch Name and address.

Step for Mail Merging
1. Open your documents (letter) which need to be send 

2. Click on the MAILING Tab, then Select Start Mail Merge. A list of various menu will be displayed. Select Step-by-step mail merge wizard.

3. When you click on this Menu, a window will be appear on right side of documents.

4.Now select – Next: Starting Document. When you select this, another set of instructions will be displayed, in that you have to select – Select Recipients. After this another set of instruction will be displayed. In that instruction click on Browse.

5. A window will appear, now you have to select your target file means from where you want to fetch data.

6. Select your target file. Then Click on Open. After this a pop up window will appear having your target file name, Click on OK button. After pressing OK, another window will appear containing all the information related to the target file so again press 

7. Now this is time to put required data in letter.

8. First Put Cursor, where you want to place the data. Then Select Insert Merge Field. It will display all the column of sheet.

Structure of URL: - The URL of page should be easier and friendly. It can be easily understandable.  To display URL containing document name and folder name can confuse the User so URL should not be so long.  URL should contain only such portion which are more important for the user. Because URL also take part into search engine to increase the page view of any website. If URL show many parameters then it can break the link. If URL contains relative information then that will provides whole information about page and its content. It may be remember that URL are displayed in search engine when a user make search for any information. For every type of URL, Googled make crawling but simple URL are very helpful in making crawling by Google.  Always choose URL that is easy for both users and google search engine. Words should be used in URLs so that maximize the linking of URL by users.

Navigation: When a webmaster or blogger apply for Google AdSense, the team of google check every perspective of Blog/Website. Also they mention result. That also depend on the navigation of website or blog.  Navigation play a very important role to find out the content of website. Better the navigation better the performance of website. Navigation is important because its help to visitor to find content quickly. It also help to search engines tells that which content is important.  Navigation should be planed according the home page. If it is possible then just put an internal link to bottom of every post if their posts are interconnected. If there is no page available on website you can display coming soon page if link are available.

To successfully run any website on the internet we required number of daily page views that show really your website is working or not. When we create a website or blog generally we do not consider rules of Search Engine Optimization only due to less knowledge of this. Search engine optimization play a vital role in increasing number of page view in any website. I have searched many things on google and implemented those things in my blog and my page views became just doubled even some time its increases 300 % also. So let me share the some rules and important factor in How to increase page views of a website.

Page Title
Page title should be impressive, unique and meaningful basically a title tag contains information for both user and Search engine optimization. Page title also tells an idea to user that what contents the particular page contains.

When a user search about some contents basically page title contents are displayed into search result. For each page, page title should be unique and different. There are some important things that should be considered. Never choose such a Page title that has no relevance to content of Page. Never use a single title tag across all the websites pages. Try to use descriptive and meaningful title. Page titles are very important aspects of Search Engine Optimization.

Meta Key Words/Tag
Meta Tag is just a summary of a page that Page is what about? Meta Tag keywords are such content that Google and other search engine summarized the content of particular page. Meta tag can be some words, a short paragraph, a summarized title or title of page. Google generally use Meta tag as snippet of your page. Adding Meta tag in each page creates effective impact on search engine and Google. In implementing Meta tag there are also some things which can be avoid for increasing the page views as Never use such mega tag which has no relation related to page content. Do not use only keywords and avoid copy and paste of whole content of page.

By default label message shown in any blogger. When you make a post you define the label. But when you open that label its show a message “Showing posts with label Name. Show all posts”. As shown in given image.

Sometimes it does not look nice in blog. This is default functionality of the blogger. In this article, I show you How to Hide Showing posts with label in Blogger. To Remove/hide/delete follow some step. Before doing this best idea is to keep backup of your blog.
1. Login to Blogger Account
2. Select your Blog Name
3. Select Template
4. Then Edit HTML option to open HTML Editor

Now find using Cntrl + F the following code to delete or hide the label message
